All Elite Wrestling, more popularly known as AEW has emerged to become a direct competitor to wrestling’s global juggernaut, WWE.
The promotion was started by Tony Khan in 2019 who brought in world-class talent from everywhere including WWE. However, things have not worked out for quite a few talented athletes, even in the land of All Elite.
Here are the Top 5 former WWE superstars who are still yet to thrive in All Elite Wrestling:
1. Miro hasn’t got what he wanted from AEW
Miro’s popularity in WWE skyrocketed with the onset of ‘Rusev Day.’ His work as the Bulgarian Brute, combined with the emerging popularity of his gimmick earned him the recognition he deserved.
However, he left WWE in April 2020 and joined rival promotion AEW in September of that year. Despite his impressive start in the company, Miro is yet to find a better positioning for the company.
He last wrestled back in June 2022 against Johnny Elite and has not been seen on television programming much.

2. Andrade El Idolo has not been booked properly in AEW
When Andrade step foot in WWE, he was immediately perceived to be a future world champion. The Mexican star proved his worth by winning the NXT championship in November 2017.
Although he had one of the most successful runs in NXT, he was not able to replicate the same success in the main roster and left the company in March 2021.
He joined AEW in June of that year and since then has struggled to have a meaningful program yet.
3. Buddy Murphy didn’t get the push he deserved
Buddy Murphy’s run as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion and Seth Rollins’ cohort earned him significant prominence on the WWE main roster.
However, he joined AEW in February 2022 and was looking to become a top prospect in the company. But his in-ring talent and persona have not been able to gain him much popularity that he had back in WWE, so far.
4. Adam Cole isn’t doing good either
One of the biggest stars of WWE NXT until 2021, was undoubtedly Adam Cole. The longest-reigning NXT champion of all time conquered the Black and Gold brand and was looking to become a top attraction on the main roster.
But he chose to move to WWE’s rival, AEW to make a fresh start under a new regime and possibly be more close to his real-life girlfriend, Britt Baker. However, Cole’s success in NXT is nowhere close to his run in AEW so far.
5. Ruby Soho hasn’t lived up to the hype
When Ruby Soho jumped ship to AEW from WWE in September 2021, the fans believed that her wasted potential would be realized in the land of All Elite.
Furthermore, she was perceived to become the next AEW Women’s World champion.
However, Ruby has failed to capitalize on various opportunities and is yet to ascend to the next level to become a bonafide main event attraction.
