Following The Elite’s harsh jibe on their fellow AEW superstar during the recent appearance on Being the Elite, wrestling fans defended CM Punk.
Against Death Triangle in a World Trios Title fight last weekend at AEW Full Gear, The Elite made their comeback. They haven’t been seen since All Out, when they got into a fight with CM Punk behind the scenes.
As speculations about The Second City Saint cutting connections with AEW gain momentum, it’s likely that he won’t rejoin the organisation.
During The Elite’s comeback bout, the audience at Full Gear loudly chanted, “f*ck CM Punk,” signaling that they didn’t care about him at all.
In their Web series Being the Elite, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks took things one step forward to take a dig at CM Punk by emphasising the chants throughout a clip.
Fans of both CM Punk and The Elite were undoubtedly disappointed by the jab, and many of them shared their opinions on Twitter.
One user asserted that The Elite were envious of Punk’s chance to rejoin WWE. He wrote “Punk returning to WWE makes C#nts envious. Roman and Punk will face up at the Rumble.”

Many others also agreed that they misunderstood Punk until now, but The Elite just proved that he was absolutely right.

Some of the fans called out The Elite and AEW for being unprofessional. They were pointing out to the fact that EVPs of the company must not behave in such a way.
Let us tell you, this is a delicate matter and considering what CM Punk has done in the past, this thing by EVPs might land Tony Khan in a legal trouble, this may force him to shell out millions.
