Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T made a comeback in WWE as NXT commentator. 57-year-old veteran fought his last match in WWE more than a decade ago in 2012.
King Booker is no longer an active wrestler in the company, and his job has mostly been confined to commentary desk and talk shows of late.
However, Booker T recently declared that he would be returning to the ring in the December this year. The former World Champion will perform for Reality of Wrestling, his Texas-based promotion.
The Hall of Famer has consistently made in-ring appearances for his promotion, Reality of Wrestling, over the past few years.
Booker T recently announced on his Hall of Fame talk show that his upcoming match would take place next month on Friday, December 18.
“If you want something done, you got to do it yourself. If I got to do it myself, that’s what I will do. So coming up, December 18, man down, guess who’s gonna be taking his place?”
“That’s right. I will be stepping back inside the squared circle, Reality of Wrestling, Christmas Chaos,” said Booker T. (H/T WrestleZone)
Booker T and Mysterious Q will pair up for the Christmas Chaos event to compete against Fly Def (team of Zack Mason and Warren Johnson) for the Reality of Wrestling Tag Team Titles.
Booker T discussed his job as a WWE commentator
Booker recently discussed his philosophy for the job of announcer in a conversation with Ryan Satin for the podcast Out of Character. Booker T said :
“I’m not a conventional commentator or something like that, so getting that weekly dosage, being at that table seeing those young boys go out there and operate at such a top standard, and then to offer my sort of commentary is quite cool”
