As part of what could be dream rivalry between Austin Theory and Triple H, WWE legend Vince Russo proposed a fight featuring the current US Champion and Road Dogg.
Russo believes that the best course of action for Theory is for him to take down a returning X-Pac at the Royal Rumble in 2023, and wage a war against Triple H.
Russo wants Theory to start a contentious on-screen feud with Hunter, in which he might even bring up Vince McMahon’s retirement angle.
Vince Russo added that WWE might even have the current US Champion face Road Dogg on the behalf of Triple H, since he is quite close to Hunter.
Since 2015, Road Dogg, the Senior Vice President of Live Events who also happens to be a close friend of HHH —hasn’t competed.
Since HHH isn’t fit to wrestle, Road Dogg should push Austin Theory to a fight in his place, according to Russo.
“You could even substitute Road Dogg there, bro. Give him a fight. Allow Road Dogg to represent you; you understand what I mean.”
Theory will want Hunter, but due to his physical condition, Hunter cannot participate. However, Road Dogg would indeed be available, according to Vince Russo.
The segment involving Seth Rollins and Austin Theory has irked WWE veteran Vince Russo.
On January 2nd, 2023, Austin Theory will face Seth Rollins to defend his US Title on first episode of RAW this year.
On Legion of RAW from Sportskeeda Wrestling a few weeks ago, Vince Russo outlined the issues with the rivalry involving Theory and Rollins.
He noted that Austin Theory had to have assaulted Rollins during their promo exchange on WWE RAW, during which The Messiah repeatedly referred to Austin Theory as a “kid.”
The United States Champion, according to Russo, was destroying himself by doing nothing but standing by and watching as Seth Rollins demeaned him.
