With his several world championship victories and repeated WrestleMania appearances as the main attraction, Shawn Michaels enjoyed one of the most prolific in-ring careers.
The Heart Break Kid currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative at WWE after retiring from professional sports.
Recently, legendary WWE official Jack Doan talked about operating with Shawn Michaels, saying that HBK was difficult to deal with while in the ring.
On the most recent show from Sports Keeda, Doan reflected on Michaels’ time as a pro wrestler.
“Shawn Michaels, I’d say, is probably the most challenging. He was a j*rk and going through a difficult patch with his addiction and everything. In the ring, he was incredibly difficult to work with.”
Jack Doan told that he would often feel uncomfortable during Shawn Michaels’ fights.
Jack Doan stated during the same session that officiating a match with Shawn Michaels would make him uneasy since the referees would also have to deal with his shenanigans.
Doan acknowledged that Michaels was a perfectionist within the wrestling ring and would yell at opponents in the middle of his fights.
“The fact that he was such a professional, only meant that he sought perfection. So, you see, if he didn’t think you were at the proper position or where you ought to be during a match, or if he transmitted anything and it wasn’t transferred, he would yell at you.”
“He was genuinely interested in having the finest match possible, which is why the referee was there too, so I could understand that side of it. As a result, I always felt anxious before his matches,” said Doan.
Michaels is presently employed by WWE backstage, where he is concentrating on growing NXT. At the 2018 Crown Jewel, he competed in a his last wrestling match.
