WWE Megastar John Cena is one of the all-time greats of the wrestling industry. He has achieved almost everything in his career spanning over 20 years.
However, John Cena is now rarely seen in the in-ring action due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. The Leader of Cenation fought his last match at SummerSlam 2021.
He usually comes back for a match or two every year, but surprisingly has not fought a single match this year. This is leading to a lot of speculations.
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo believes that 16-time world champion John does not need to wrestle now, and should retire.
Russo said that he would not be surprised if John Cena does not return and retires from WWE forever, like his boss former chairman Vince McMahon.
John Cena has always been one of Vince McMahon’s most liked and trusted top superstars. Russo says he doesn’t think the 16 time World Champion has the same loyalty for Triple H.
Speaking on SK Wrestling’s Legion of Raw, when Russo was asked about Cena’s retirement, he said,
“I don’t know about it at all. At the moment, he doesn’t need to do that but when it happens, you never know. He was very loyal to Vince McMahon. He felt that Vince owes him something. I believe that’s why he always came back to the company. I doubt John Cena’s loyalty towards Triple H. I think Cena had different feelings with Vince.”
John Cena may be a part of WWE WrestleMania 39
According to some recent reports, 16-time world champion John Cena may appear at WrestleMania 39 next year. However, this news has not been confirmed by Cena or WWE yet.
Fans would also like to see a match between the Cena leader and current Mr. Money in the Bank, Austin Theory, at Show of the Shows.
