Last year, many seasoned campaigners like Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman were released by WWE. This was very shocking news for everyone.
WWE management said that budget cuts were the prime motive behind the decision to release these superstars. Still, the reasoning was vague and many questions were raised.
WWE probably tried to omit ‘Wrestling’ and become just an ‘Entertainment’ company
On the one hand company released so many hard working wrestlers citing budget cuts, but on the other it was spending huge money on contracting several part-time celebrities like Johnny Knoxville, Bad Bunny and Logan Paul.
Substituting prominent wrestlers with popular celebrities did not go well with hardcore wrestling fans. WWE was heavily criticized everywhere.
Bray Wyatt did not join AEW, Triple H brought him back
After the release, it was being speculated that Wyatt would sign with AEW but that did not happen. So, when Triple H became the creative head, everyone hoped for Wyatt’s return.
Triple H did not disappoint the fans. ‘The White Rabbit’ Bray Wyatt returned to WWE and gave a big surprise to the fans at Extreme Rules.
As soon as Matt Riddle won the match against Seth Rollins, the lights went off. The arena was filled with fireflies, and fans turned on their flashlights.
It was a grand welcome to the Master of the Wyatt Family. It was clearly depicting how desperately Fans wanted him to return.
Braun Strowman reacts to Bray Wyatt’s return
Many WWE Superstars have reacted to the return of The Eater of The Worlds. Now, Wyatt’s old disciple Braun Strowman has also reacted to the return of his former master.
Strowman tweeted :
“I love when people that have been through hell walk out of the flames carrying buckets of water for those still consumed by the fire!!!!!”
It wasn’t clear whether this tweet is part of some kind of storyline or Strowman was just referring to the comeback journey of Bray Wyatt.
As we all know, Wyatt and Strowman share a great history together. Strowman made his main roster debut in 2015 as a part of the Wyatt family.
After the group was disbanded, he had a great run as a singles superstar. He became Universal Champion defeating Goldberg.
Braun Strowman and Wyatt were part of a storyline in 2020. The Fiend Bray Wyatt ended Strowman’s Universal Championship run at SummerSlam.
That rivalry didn’t seem to be finished at that point of time. So, another clash between the master and the disciple remains due.
